Quick Move Properties allocates £15 million for new ‘deposit on exchange’ PX scheme

£15 million of funding has been allocated for this financial year in order to provide a new ‘deposit on exchange, balance on completion’ part exchange scheme

Changing market conditions led to the development of this scheme”, Quick Move Properties’ marketing manager, Donna Houguez, explains. “Contrary to the challenges of 12 months ago, when clients were struggling to sell new build, park and leisure homes, the feedback we’re receiving now indicates that the problem is building them fast enough to keep up with demand!

“While this is a positive thing for the industry, it brings with it some major difficulties. Lead times of up to six months are tough to contend with – dampening customers’ initial enthusiasm and carrying financial risk for developers, and park operators and manufacturers.

"Providing certainty is the cornerstone of the Quick Move Properties service, and as the market leader, we need to ensure that we are providing our clients with exactly the certainty they need in today’s economy, not for the conditions of a year ago.”

The new scheme provides the certainty for the new home or lodge to be ordered and built, with no financial risk to the developer or manufacturer, and to the customer so they know their sale and purchase will go ahead as planned.

How does it work?
Following acceptance of offer…
Quick exchange of contracts on customers' property – in as little as seven days
10% of the new home or lodge value paid to customer on exchange to enable them to secure it with a deposit
Completion arranged to match date of delivery and siting of park home or lodge or build completion of a new home to allow the customer to make their final payment
Up to two weeks free licence to occupy to ensure plenty of time for the move if the customer is buying a residential home

Who is eligible?
The scheme is open to all part exchange clients.
